MORE STORAGE SPACE

Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS) equipped with Eurofork extendable and retractable telescopic forks mounted on stacker cranes ensure more efficient use of storage space and increased productivity in any application sector. Our systems are designed to guarantee smooth bi-directional handling of load units of any size and weight, optimizing operations within automated warehouses and other automated handling systems.

QUALITY AND DURABILITY WITHOUT BOUNDARIES

Our robust and adaptable telescopic forks are designed to last, avoiding inefficiencies that could impact warehouse performance. Fully manufactured in Italy with European components and certified materials, they offer reliability and high-level performance. Covered by international patents, our devices are synonymous with durability and quality, ensuring you a safe and efficient handling system. To ensure that products and performance meet your requirements, each piece of equipment undergoes rigorous checks, including static and dynamic testing during the quality control phase, so we can provide you with equipment ready for use.

MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY FOR EVERY LOAD

Whether it’s handling pallets, crates, coils, heavy loads, or vehicle bodies, efficiency and reliability are fundamental. Thanks to the quality of the components, our automatic handling systems allow for the precise, efficient, and stable movement of any type of load over time.

CUSTOMIZED FOR YOUR AUTOMATION

Thanks to our solid experience in industrial automation, we offer partners customized solutions for any handling needs, both in automated AS/RS warehouses and in production lines. Today, over 130,000 Eurofork telescopic forks optimize the handling of billions of load units worldwide, ensuring top-quality industrial automation.

Telescopic forks are load handling devices designed for the retrieval and storage of pallets, boxes, containers, and other load units. These devices are used in automated material handling and storage systems, particularly in AS/RS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems) warehouses, where fast, precise, and reliable load unit handling is required. Installed on stacker cranes and shuttles, telescopic forks extend and retract in a controlled manner to reach storage locations accurately and safely. Their main advantage is the ability to manage single or multi deep storage, increasing warehouse density and optimizing the available space. Telescopic forks are also used in production lines and other industrial environments where fast, reliable, and continuous handling operations are required.

The difference mainly concerns the load storage depth. • Single deep: consisting of one fixed body and two movable telescopic elements, the load is placed directly in the first rack position. • Double deep: consisting of one fixed body and three movable telescopic elements, the fork can reach a second position behind the first, allowing two pallets to be stored in the same storage channel. • Triple deep: consisting of one fixed body and four movable telescopic elements, it can reach three consecutive positions, further increasing storage density. As storage depth increases, requirements in terms of stroke, load capacity, stiffness, precision, and load handling also increase. In addition, double deep telescopic forks are also available in the Variant version. This configuration introduces a significant advantage in terms of design efficiency: thanks to independent transmissions that control the telescopic elements, it allows a reduction in the overall dimensions and height of the moving parts compared to traditional solutions.

Telescopic forks can be designed to handle a wide variety of load units and are distinguished by their high adaptability to very different application contexts. Thanks to customized configurations, they make it possible to optimize not only material handling operations but also the overall performance of the warehouse automation system. For applications involving particularly heavy, unstable, or specifically shaped loads, it is essential to size the telescopic fork according to the operational requirements in order to ensure reliability, safety, and efficiency over time.

There is no predefined maximum load capacity for telescopic forks. The device is designed based on a series of parameters, such as: • the position of the load center of gravity • the storage depth • the required stroke • the configuration of the stacker crane or the system on which the fork is installed All these elements make it possible to develop the telescopic fork best suited to any load capacity requirement.

Yes, telescopic forks can be custom designed according to the characteristics of the warehouse, the automated system, and the load to be handled. This flexibility is one of their main strengths and explains their widespread use across a variety of industries, including automotive, rubber, paper, batteries, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, ceramics, e-commerce, and distribution logistics. Thanks to dedicated engineering, telescopic forks can be adapted to: • operating conditions • load unit type • system constraints The solution is developed specifically to be perfectly integrated into the system, without the need to adapt the warehouse to standard configurations. The result is more efficient, safe, and reliable handling, even in the most complex or highly specialized applications.

Yes, provided they are designed and configured with components and materials specifically suited to the environment in which they will operate, ensuring proper functionality. The operating temperature must therefore be defined during the design phase in order to guarantee reliability and durability over time.

A traditional telescopic fork is designed to handle loads by ensuring the retrieval and storage of load units within an automated warehouse. A “smart” fork performs the same handling function as a traditional telescopic fork but integrates IoT sensors and data collection systems that continuously monitor its operation during use.

There is no predefined service life expressed simply in years, as the lifespan of a telescopic fork depends on several factors, including the intensity of use, operating conditions, and proper maintenance. By following the instructions provided in the operation and maintenance manual supplied with the equipment and by regularly carrying out the scheduled preventive and periodic maintenance activities, a telescopic fork can ensure reliable performance and optimal operation over a high number of operating cycles.
